Day 1: Athens, Thessaloniki

Your private 6 days christian tour starts from Athens early in the morning and drive towards Thessaloniki which is the second biggest city of Greece.A wonderful scenic city near the Thermaikos Gulf,with the ”White Tower” as a symbol in the center,considered to be a co-capital.On the way our first stop will be the battlefield of Thermopylae or Hotgates and the Hot Springs, where King Leonidas and the 300 brave Spartans gave their lives for the freedom of Greece. Honor and Glory was their moto. They achived both, as their memory lasts for ever.Next stop the valley of Tempe which is 10Km long and has the Pineios river flowing through.When we arrive at Thessaloniki ,we check in and after a quick rest at the hotel we visit the Vlatades Monastery were Apostle Paul drunk water and from that moment and on it was called “Apostle Paul’s Holy Water” .Near is also the Orthodox Church of St. Paul .

When you feel hungry get ready to taste the famous Greek cuisine and have a memorable dinner,the tour will guide you to a traditional tavern .It’s up to you to choose from a variety of flavors of the most known Greek dishes .

Day 2: Thessaloniki,Kavala

After the breakfast we start by visiting the most famous church of Thessaloniki,Saint Demetrious.A real Byzantine architecture specimen build the 4th century A.D .Inside a must see is the Crypt an underground tunnel that was discover in 1917. Our next stop is the town of Nea Fokea, where we will see the ”Agiasma of St. Paul”,an underground corridor that ends to a chamber where St. Paul was hidding when he become a target for people of Thessoloniki . We move on and after a while we will reach Kavala town and then Filippoi, the place that St, Paul preached his first evangelical sermon and baptized the Christians.The Baptismal site, is famous because the first european female was baptized and the name of hers Lydia.There’s also a secret crypt where Paul was prisoned. We will also visit Acropolis of Filippoi, the Market, Basilica and the Theatre .Return to Kavala for Overnight.

Day 3: Kavala-Meteora

The day starts by driving to the town of Veroia at Northwestern Greece. There is the famous church of Apostle Paul’s made of marble ”Vima of Apostle Paul”.From this point hepreached to the people of the for town. Next stop the Ancient town of Vergina and to the King’s tombs, one of them is considered to be of Alexander the Great father . The tour will end after a long drive to Meteora. Overnight in Kalambaka and free leisure time

Day 4: Meteora- Delphi

After your breakfast you will visit the monasteries of Meteora. They come second in relegious importance and size after mount Athos in orthodox christianity.

Meteora means “middle of the sky”, “suspended in the air” or “in the heavens above” and the monasteries are built on high pillars at the northwestern edge of the Plain of Thessaly near the Pineios river and Pindus Mountains, in central Greece after the 11th century and on and they were never abondoned as there live monks and nuns up today. The monasteries are: St. Nicolas, Grande Meteoro, Varlaam, Rousannou, Holy Trinity and St. Stephen.

There you will visit up to 3 monasteries, depends on the day and you,admire the wonderful, panoramic view and when you feel hungry get ready to taste the famous Greek cuisine and have a memorable lunch.the tour will guide you to a traditional tavern at Kalambaka or Kastraki..It’s up to you to choose from a variety of flavors of the most known Greek dishes .We leave Meteora and we drive to the Delphi village to overnight.

Day 5: Delphi, Athens

In the morning and after your breakfast, you’ll visit both the archaelogical site with the ancient theatre, and the museum. Delphi is the first touristic attraction of the antiquity, as it was busy all the year round. It was the place God Apollo had his sanctuary,that the prophesis were given to every man, every prince, general and king by Pythia the High Priestess.It was the center of the universe, according to Zeus, king of the Gods.

You will visit the Oracle of Apollo, the Omfalos, the temple of Athena Pronaia, Kastaleia Spring and see some magnificent artifacts and statues, such as Eniochos the charioteer, the twin Brothers and Sphynx of Naxos.

When you feel hungry get ready to taste the famous Greek cuisine and have a memorable lunch.the tour will guide you to a traditional restaurant or tavern.It’s up to you to choose from a variety of flavors of the most known Greek dishes. We will lunch there with a great view of mountain Parnassus and Itea and after that we ‘ll drive to the Osios Loukas monastery founded on the early 11th century, favored by the byzintine emperors and most worshiped by the pligrims. There you can see the wonderful golden mosaics, built in the 11th century, and frescoes plus the Burial Crypt. Time to return to Athens.

Day 6: Athens,Ancient Corinth

Athens was one of the main destinations of the apostle Paul for his great missionary work.He visited Athens in 48 AC.Your half day private tour will start with the Acropolis site, a complex of buildings that includes the Parthenon (main temple)the best example of classic architecture of the 5th century BC , Erectheion (the temple with the 6 female figurers, Caryatides), Temple of Athena Nike (Wingless Godess), Propylaia (the monumental Gate), Odeon of Herodus Atticus, Dionysus theater and finally the Mars Hill or Areios Pagos (the first ancient court and the place that St. Paul preached the Christianity for the fist time in Athens).

Our next stop will be the Temple Of the Olympian Zeus (the largest temple in Hellenic and Roman times), the Panathenian Stadium (the stadium of the first Olympic Games on 1896) , the memorial of the Unknown soldier and the changing of the Guards (Euzones) in front of the Greek Parliament, opposite the Syntagma or Constitutional square.

We will also visit through Plaka (the oldest neighborhood in Athens) the picturesque quarter of the city, where there are little shops with handmade crafts and gifts for you to buy and Monastiraki (Flea Market), where you can have a pleasant walk and shopping with your friends and family.

Our next stop will be the Ancient Greek Agora with the beautiful St. Catherine orthodox church.the meeting place of Apostle Paul .Ηe had to be there, where all the great philosophers and important men were, in order to discuss the new religion than one and true God. Τhis was where everything were being thought.When he was firstly there saw an inscription on the Unknown God, so he found a way to present to Greeks the One and Only real God, preaching the newly born religion. Some of the most important speeches of St Paul took place here.

After that let’s see the Trilogy of Athens (the Academy of Science, the First University of Athens and the National Greek Library) and drive towards the Peloponnese to reach the magnificent structure of the Corinth Canal, which is in Peloponnese, the southern peninsula of Greece. The Corinth Canal conects the Saronic with the Corinthian Gulf in the Aegean Sea.

A dream of the ancients, that came true in 1893. Time for rest and some amazing photos above the Corinth Canal.

Leaving the Isthmos and driving to the ancient Corinth, where St. Paul lived for almost two years making a very important misionary work. There you will visit the archaelogical site with the Ancient Market and the Bema of Apostle Paul or Galionas, a large elevated rostrum in the centre of the Roman Forum of ancient Corinth and the museum, plus the church that has the 1st Letter to the Corithians written in four languages, Greek, Arabic, French and English.
